The 17th edition of the Pinball Bash was a resounding success as 27 players who were fully vaccinated, boosted, and tested, brought their skills to compete on 25 vintage and modern games.
The party was a huge success thanks to the two Jeffs. One works for a local distributor and brought the liquid refreshments to keep the competitors hydrated. The other is a pinball distributor so he brought Ts and stickers for all the participants. And Steve once again showed why he is the best pinball technician in the Northwest. His 45 years of experience showed itself during the night as he kept all the machine going and he still had time to take pictures. He was a unanimous selection for Pinball Technician of the Year. The award should just be named after him.
The trophies were spread out again this year with Kevin, Josh, and Dan each taking home three, while Jason, Don, and Dave each getting two.
The two memorial awards were given out in honor of Rich and Dennis. John and Steve won those respectively.
Tom did another great job bringing it all together. The refreshments, trophies, special prizes, and more made it a special night for everyone.
The Cinderella story of the night goes to Joe. It was his son’s 8th birthday and Joe didn’t want to miss celebrating with him and his friends. His wife told him to go and have fun with the fellas. Before he left he told his son that he would try and win him a pinball machine for his birthday. Well, needless to say when Everett woke up the next morning it was like Christmas. Joe had won the machine and set it up in the early morning hours to surprise his son. What a way to end a great party!
